Another risk with PCoIP is that if they come out with a new processor and obsolete their old firmware, they may not offer security updates required by your vdi solution as they did with their Tera1 processors and TLS. I supposed they needed to hedge some risk and find other revenue streams. I would estimate VMware will eventually sunset PCoIP in their products to remove licensing costs.
